Natalie E. Redfearn

Natalie E. (Anderson) Redfearn, age 82, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2019.

Natalie was born on June 26, 1936 in Winchester, MA; she was the cherished daughter of the late Florence E. (Rattray) Anderson. Natalie grew up in Winchester and was raised by William and Helen Saunders. She graduated from Winchester High School in 1954.

Natalie worked in Boston for a few years before taking a job as a bank teller at Shawmut Bank. While working, Natalie met the love of her life, David W. Redfearn. The couple moved from North Reading to Wilmington in 1975.

Natalie and David were inseparable; Natalie adored David and they enjoyed many social activities together. They were Lifetime Members of the Lake Quannapowitt Yacht Club in Wakefield. Natalie and David had countless friends and wonderful memories of the social gatherings at the Yacht Club. Natalie was also a member of the Bowling Team. She made many friends through her bowling league.

Natalie loved to travel; she took many trips with David and her friends to Kennebunkport and Aruba. In her spare time, she loved to read, knit and spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Natalie was an animal lover; she loved all animals, but she especially loved her dachshunds.

Natalie was the beloved wife of the late David W. Redfearn, devoted mother of Nancy Assenza & her husband Joe of Wilmington, the late Stephen Redfearn, Adrienne Goffnett and Allison Mondi, loving “Grammy” of Joseph Assenza, Alexander Assenza, Jennifer Assenza, Brian Puglia, Katie Puglia and Dana Padden, “Great-Grammy” of Selena, Santino and Marianna, cherished daughter of the late Florence E. (Rattray) Anderson and William & Helen Saunders, dear sister of the late William Saunders, sister-in-law of Derry Saunders, loving aunt of Laurie Saunders of Mexico and Billy Saunders of Tamworth, NH.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), WILMINGTON, on Thursday, May 16th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 15th from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Memorial donations in Natalie’s name may be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
