Lee, Patrolman Shawn W., age 39, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 10, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Shawn was the beloved husband of Lisa (Martino) Lee, devoted father of Michael and Patrick Lee, cherished son of Donald and Maryann (Rooney) Lee all of Wilmington, dear brother of Stacie Paradis and her husband Stephen, loving uncle of Heather Paradis all of Tewksbury, special nephew of Mickey Rooney and his late wife Dorsey, Joanne and Barry Sanborn, Dennis and Yvette Rooney, the late Billy Rooney, the late James Rooney and his wife Bev, the late Suzanne and Arthur McNeil, godson of George White. Shawn is also survived by many cousins, friends and fellow officers. Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rt. 62), Wilmington, on Wednesday, December 14th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
