Paul Joseph Brady

Paul Joseph Brady, age 88, of Wilmington, passed away on April 8, 2018.

Paul was the beloved husband of the late Teresa Marie (Murphy) Brady, devoted father of Mary Ellen Hayes & her husband John of Walpole and Paul J. Brady, Jr. of Derry, NH. Loving “Pa” of Matthew Brady, Elizabeth Hayes and Sean Brady. Cherished son of the late William J. and Mary (Ward) Brady, dear brother of Mary Brady and Ann Brady both of Medford and the late John Brady, Kay Lee, William Brady, Francis Brady, Bernard Brady, Helen Brady and Ruth Woods; brother-in-law of Gertrude O’Handley. Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, April 12th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 11th from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, NE 68010.

Paul was a U.S. Army Veteran who proudly served during the Korean War.

    My childhood and teenage years were filled with some of the most vivid and memorable moments in my life, whether we were playing street hockey on Barbara Ave. or walking the beach outside Captain Enos’ cottage in Magnolia. Wonderful people like Paul & Teresa always made me feel like I was always welcome and accepted. This big Irish Family made a shy Scottish kid feel like he fit, I will miss you every day Big Paul, keep smiling.
