Peter Ardagna

Peter Ardagna, age 89, of Wilmington, formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 18, 2020.

Peter was the beloved husband of the late Anne L. (O’Meara) Ardagna, devoted father of Peter L. Ardagna & his wife Nancy of Hampstead, NH, Dianne Anciello & her husband John of Andover, Joanne Spinale & her husband John of Billerica and Linda Moore & her husband James of Denver, CO, loving “Papa” of  Melissa Tucker, Thomas King & his wife Kristi, Leah Anciello & her husband Matthew Davidge, the late Jeffrey King, Michael Anciello, Kimberly Spinale and Matthew Spinale, great-grandfather of Thomas Peter King, cherished son of the late Bartholmeo and Josephine (Catalanotto) Ardagna.

Peter took great interest in repairing cars which led him to become an auto mechanic for a number of years. He became certified as a vocational education teacher through Boston State College, and he received his Bachelor of Education degree at Fitchburg State College. Peter taught auto mechanics, driver’s education, english and math at Medford Vocational Technical High School for 34 years. In addition to being a teacher, Peter was a Justice of the Peace and officiated weddings for over 30 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101 1st Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.

Due to the current situation of the Corona virus and for everyone’s safety, the Ardagna family has decided to hold a private service at this time.
