Peter T. Danas

Peter T. Danas, age 61, of Wilmington, formerly of Lowell, passed away on July 23, 2014 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Peter was born on July 16, 1953 in Lowell, MA; he was the cherished son of the late Charles and Helen (Tsimiklis) Danas. Peter was raised and educated in Lowell and a graduate of Lowell High School with the Class of 1970.

Peter married his “sweetheart” Christine Caton on October 4, 1987. The couple resided in Wilmington for more than 30 years and raised two wonderful sons Nick and Alex. Peter loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them; they loved to travel, camp, go boating, or go for rides on his Harley.

Peter was a hard worker, for many years he and his wife Christine published their own real estate booklets through their company Danas Publications.

Peter will be fondly remembered for his love of food and family celebrations, he was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, and an all-around good guy. Peter enjoyed his morning runs to Dunkin Donuts for coffee and conversation; he was always very social. Most of all Peter will be remembered for his unconditional love and devotion to his family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Beloved husband of Christine C. (Caton) Danas, loving father of Nicholas P. and Alexander C. Danas all of Wilmington, son of the late Charles and Helen (Tsimiklis) Danas, dear brother of Dorothea Alexander of Topsfield, Virginia Danas Barrelle of Lowell, the late George Danas and Barbara Longtin. Peter is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave, (Rt. 62), Wilmington, for a Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 29th, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, July 28th, from 2-8 p.m. Memorial donations in Peter’s name can be made to American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
