Robert Penta

Robert Penta, age 82, a long-time resident of Plantation, FL, formerly of Watertown and Somerville, passed away on January 8, 2022, following a lengthy illness.

Robert was the beloved husband of sixty-one years of Beverly (Lima) Penta, devoted father of Denise Howard & her husband Howard of Boynton Beach, FL, and the late David Penta, loving “Papa” of Jennifer Young, “Great-Papa” of Anthony, Jada and Aaron, cherished son of the late Joseph and Immaculate (Mustico) Penta, dear brother of Linda Huber, Angela Holman, Guy Penta, and the late Joseph Penta. Robert is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington on Saturday, January 15th at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Westview Cemetery, Lexington, MA.

Memorial donations in Robert’s name may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.

Flowers are welcome and can be sent to the Funeral Home for Services or directly to Beverly Penta in Plantation, FL.

    I have so many wonderful memories of Bobby in our younger days … He was always about family, that dedication to be fully admired. He made me laugh a lot. Always admired Bobby and Beverly, their love and commitment. My sincerest sympathy to all.
