Lisa M. Sawyer, age 41, of Nashua, NH, formerly of Wilmington, died on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, NH, following a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.

Born in Woburn, MA, on May 27, 1967, Lisa was the beloved daughter of Victor G. & Diane J. (Rossi) Sawyer of Wilmington. Lisa grew up in Wilmington, she attended Wilmington Public Schools and graduated from Shawsheen Technical High School Class of 1985. Following High School Lisa went on to earn her degree from Wilfred Academy of Hair & Beauty Culture in 1988.

Prior to her illness, Lisa was well known as a talented Cosmetologist and Hair Dresser. In her younger years Lisa volunteered at Camp Forty Acres in Wilmington for many years, she worked at the Flower Stop, and at Friendly’s Restaurant at the Wilmington Plaza. Lisa has resided in Nashua, NH, for the last several years. Lisa was dedicated to her family, they will fondly remembered her as an excellent hairdresser, talented decorator, and a very independent, courageous young woman who will be greatly missed.

Besides her parents who survive her, Lisa was the dear sister of Laurie Sawyer, Jimmy Sawyer & his fiancé Sarah Stevens, and the late Linda Sawyer and the loving aunt of Ryan Daniel Webster Sawyer all of Wilmington.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 9th, 10:30 a.m. at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours on Sunday, June 8th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
