Uncle Bobby, Ken, Cheryl and Steve,

I send my sincere condolences for your loss. Auntie Shirley was an icon in the Knight family and there is no replacement for her wit and her quick smile. She was much loved by everyone.

My memories of holidays when I was young always included the laughter of Aunt Shirley and of course her incredible Italian food. We all tried to copy her recipes but they never tasted as good as Shirley’s.

May you all find comfort in your wonderful memories and may God hold you close during this time of loss and sorrow.

Shirley will always be “Angel” to me. That’s what I called her. Gone from us so soon and so swiftly. I’m going to miss her a whole lot! We chatted on the average of no less than twice a week. She always answered promptly ["paying my rent here on earth!"], always with a bright ray of sunshine, with kindness and humor. I really loved her and her radiant, positive spirit, though we never met in person. She is among the angels & her Redeemjer now. Courage & Comfort to you Robert A. and everyone in the great family. The LORD will not let you down.
With many prayers and much love,
    GEORGE, joined by RUTH.

    Dear Bobbi,Cheryl, Ken, and Steve,
Shirley was more like a sister to me. never forgetting to include me whether it was a holiday, birthday or the KEN was arriving. Always would ask what do you want to take home? She would bag up some goodies.
As has been said she had a heart of GOLD and didn’t want anyone to be left out. She taught me all I know about using the computer and oh the patience she had showing me “HowTo” via the phone and if I didn’t get she would say o.k I will be up next Wed and she would fix any problems I might have..Jan would always say Mom if Auntie Shirley has her stuffed peppers bring one home for me and of course she would pack one up. I say HER stuffed peppers because no one could come close to her famous stuffed peppers.
Bobbi you are lucky to have had a wonderful close family and they will surround you in your loss of your lifetime partner.
Bless you all I am so sad and will miss her. Sister Evie

  32. Ken Knight says:

I’m very thankful for all the well wishes and fond memories from everyone.

It helps me to know that so many people were positively touched by my mom, as of course I was. Tomorrow will be a hard time for our family saying good bye. The understanding and support you will all be bringing whether in spirit or in person will be a definate help during this time.

To celebrate my mom’s life I know she would want to hear laughter and listen to silly stories about past events. Even while she was very sick she kept a positive attitude and always tried to entertain people keeping the medical staff, doctors and nurses in stitches.

I’ve collected a few of my found memories which I will attempt to share with you tomorrow, so you can see how Mom has touched my life in a positive way. You will all be welcome if you wish to do the same.

Mom, I miss you and you will always be in my heart.

PS. Please let Jesus win one arguement and don’t bring up Obama’s birth certificate – they know where he was born :) .

  33. Carol Capone (Giannone) says:

My heart is heavy today, because I know so many of our family are hurting. You would think, as you get older, you would get used to loosing friends and family, but for me, it hasn’t. I know Shirley had to go, but I will miss her. She is in good company, my sister Lorraine will be there to meet her. They both love to laugh and have fun. Lord knows, heaven is never going to be the same with those two there. To all her family, and so many of her friends, I want to say that I am sorry for your loss. God bless you Shirl, rest in peace.

    Please accept my condolences.

I only knew TechAngel from her newsgroup postings which I always looked forward to seeing. She was fun and quite insightful. Her love for her family would always show through when she apologized for being away from the board because she often described her meal and celebration plans.

Rest well sweet lady. You are indeed an Angel. My prayers are with you and your family.

John (aka Ferd Berfle, Judge Cookie Bullfincher, etc.)

  40. Linda Johnson says:

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of such a joyful woman. While I only knew her on newsgroups, she was the light of so many days. She made us all jealous with her family stories, especially the ones concerning food.

She is most certainly at peace now.
