Helen T. (Tobin) Smith, age 87, of Wilmington, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Wilmington Health Care Center.

Helen was the beloved wife of William F. Smith, devoted mother of Colleen McKenzie of Holbrook, Sean Smith & his wife Jeanne of Walpole, and Noreen “Noni” Smith & her husband Jim Surette of Chelmsford, loving grandmother of Mike and Lori McKenzie, Jacquelyn, Kevin, and Andrew Smith, Carly and Nik Surette, and great-granddaughter Scarlett, cherished daughter of the late Daniel and Anne (McCarthy) Tobin, dear sister of Mary and Margaret Tobin both of Hingham, the late Anna Buckley and Richard Tobin.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Saturday, April 16th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church at 12:00 noon. Due to allergies, it has been requested to refrain from wearing any perfumes, colognes, or fragrances of any kind. Interment to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at a later date.

Memorial donations in Helen’s name may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
