Steven J. Haepers, age 34, of Manchester, NH, formerly a long-time resident of Wilmington, MA, passed away on September 22, 2018, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH.
Steven was born on January 14, 1984, in Malden, MA; he was the beloved son of Joseph and Nancy Haepers. Steven was raised and educated in Wilmington, MA and a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 2002. Steven loved playing youth sports as well as playing football for the Wilmington High School Wildcats; he was proud of being a member of the football team when they were the Cape Ann League Champs.
Steven was very outgoing and friendly; he made many life-long friends throughout the years. Steve was also known to be and avid outdoorsman who enjoyed water skiing, kayaking, fishing, snowboarding, snow skiing or anything else that had to do with being outside and having fun. He loved spending time with his family and friends at their home in New Hampshire where many wonderful memories were made throughout the years.
Steven was dearly loved and will forever be missed by his family and friends.
Steven was the cherished son of Joseph and Nancy (VonHandorf) Haepers of Acton formerly of Wilmington, beloved brother of Katie A. Haepers of Acton and Michael J. Haepers of Chelsea, dear nephew of Ellen Tentindo of Wilmington, Dorothy VonHandorf of Saugus, the late Joseph and James VonHandorf. Steven is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Wednesday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 12:00 noon. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
