Sullivan, Patricia

Patricia R. (Harris) Sullivan, age 76, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2011, at the Lahey Clinic with her family by her side.

Patricia was born in Somerville, MA, on April 29, 1935, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Bevins) Harris.

Patricia married James Sullivan in September of 1957, they were just shy of celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary. Pat and James moved to Wilmington in 1963, where they raised five great children, they were very devoted to their family. Over the years, the family enjoyed spending time together, taking many day trips and spending weekends in Maine.

Prior to retiring, Pat was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Sucur Securities Company in Wilmington.

Pat had a great personality and was well liked. She was always willing to do for others and was a great friend to many. She will be missed.

Patricia was the beloved wife of James R. Sullivan of Wilmington, loving mother of Kevin Sullivan and his wife Nadine, and Tracy Love all of North Carolina, Leigh Sullivan and Dennis Sullivan and his wife Barbara all of Wilmington and Christopher Sullivan and his wife Dawn of Billerica, cherished grandmother of several grandchildren, dear sister of Paul Harris and his wife Carmella of New Hampshire.

Family and friends gathered at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rt. 62), Wilmington, on Monday, June 27, at 11 a.m. for a funeral home service. Interment followed in Wildwood Cemetery. Memorial donations in Patricia’s name can be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
