Theresa C. English

After 90s years of being amazing here on Earth, Theresa C. English (Cadiero, Gagnon) of Tewksbury, formerly of Merrimack, NH and Wilmington, peacefully made her way to Heaven on November 18, 2021. In a room filled with vibrant flowers and her nails freshly painted a sparkling red. Covered in prayers and surrounded by infinite love, and generations of proof of a life lived as full as the moon that shone above her.

The Queen herself, Theresa, also known as Terry, was born on April 25, 1931, in Chelsea, MA; she was the cherished daughter of the late Leon and Anna (Beauchesne) Gagnon. Theresa was raised in a large, loving family of eleven siblings in Wilmington. Daughter to ‘The Egg Man’ and ‘Bingo Matriarch’, and devoted big sister to: Arthur Gagnon of FL, Madeline Bimbo, Claire Sullivan both of Wilmington, the late Tony Gagnon, Paul Gagnon, Albert Gagnon, George Gagnon, Wilfred Gagnon, Robert Gagnon and Yvonne Love.

She found true love twice in her life and created beautiful memories with two incredible husbands, Emanuel J. Cadiero in 1948 and Charles English in 1989. Theresa was a hard-working, selfless, loving mom of Karen Cadiero-Kaplan & her husband Roger of Milford, NH, Stephen Cadiero & his wife Leonor of Lemon Grove, CA, the late Thomas Cadiero and the late Sharon Quebec & her husband Mark of Leominster, stepmother of Louie English & his wife Linda, Ed English & his wife RoseMary, the late Mary Theriault and the late Charlie English,

Best Grandmother award winner 37 years in a row to: Alicia Goguen, Caitlin English, Beth Morelli, Stephanie Cadiero and Peter Ruiz. Adored Great Grandmother (Meme) to: Aubree, Sadie, Carter and Harley; All around Awesome Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a world traveler, bingo professional, painter, embroideress, social butterfly, chocolate connoisseur, impeccable gift giver, and an infamous Happy Birthday Soloist.

Theresa, Terry as many of her friends knew her, was a woman who was Inspiring beyond words, and as strong as she was kind, sweet…and stubborn. A mom, grandma, meme, sister, aunt, cousin or friend to anyone who needed her, and loved beyond measure by those who were truly blessed to know her. May she always be remembered by the joy that could always be found in her Infectious belly laugh, beautiful smile, and sparkling eyes.

Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, MA on Wednesday, November 24th at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. A celebration of life party will be held in Spring of 2022.

    Sending love and light to all of Theresa’s family and friends. I met Theresa on several occasions when she visited my dear friend Karen, her daughter, in California. I remember how happy and proud she was at an event honoring Karen’s contribution to education. I was impressed by her kindness , her resiliency and how much she loved her family. She was truly a special person loved and admired for her honesty and sense of humor and will be missed.
