Thomas N. Callahan, age 25, of Wilmington, passed away on November 3, 2017 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston, due to injuries sustained in a car accident.

Thomas was raised in Wilmington and attended Wilmington Public Schools until the 6th grade. He then became a “Lifer” at Austin Prep School in Reading, where he graduated with the Class of 2010.

Thomas loved all sports; he played hockey and lacrosse in high school and took up learning Jujitsu in recent years. He enjoyed watching sporting events, especially the Patriots games with his family and friends. He also looked forward to spending time just being home with his parents and his brother Brian, who was also his best friend.

While Thomas was very proud of his work ethic, which showed through his academic and career achievements, he looked forward to his down time where he would enjoy reading. His new favorite series was “The Game of Thrones.”

Thomas also loved to be outdoors; he recently bought a drone that he loved to fly. He was happiest when he went on rides on his motorcycle and loved to go snowboarding in the winter.

Thomas was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.

To work with Tommy was the very best part of my job. You never knew what he was going to come out with next….a silly dance, a funny song…every day was fun and exciting and he really knew how to make even Mondays fun.
Aside from his humor, he had such a sweet side. He was kind and compassionate and just an all around great friend. He gave the best hugs, surprised his coworkers with chocolates or whatever treat he knew you liked and never missed an opportunity to brighten your day.
To Tommy’s family, I am so sorry for your devestating loss. It was always apparent how close he was to his family and how much you meant to him.
