Warren H. Cormier, Jr.

August 28th, 2013
Warren H. Cormier, Jr., age 52, of Andover, formerly of Wilmington, died unexpectedly on August 27, 2013, at the Lawrence General Hospital.

Warren was born on September 19, 1960, in Lowell, MA, he was the dear son of the late Warren H., Sr. and Lorraine A. (Cabana) Cormier and part of a large and loving family.

Warren was raised and educated in Andover, MA, and was a graduated of Andover High School, Class of 1978.

Warren married his “sweetheart” Sharon L. Hutchins in June of 1983 and just celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary.  Warren and Sharon moved to Wilmington where they lived for 16 years and raised four great kids before moving back to Andover in 2009.

Warren loved being a dad, he was always there to support his children, whether it was coaching boys basketball, girls basketball, traveling basketball, AAU teams; Warren was there for his children.  When Warren wasn’t coaching the teams he was always there for moral support, he was their biggest fan, and was known as being a “bench coach” at heart.

Warren was very proud of his family and his love for them was unconditional.  Warren took on the role of “Papa” to Wesley and Sierra, he thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent with them; they always put a smile on his face.

Warren worked hard to provide for his family, he was self-employed for many years at the Town Car Shuttle Company, which he owned and operated with family.

In his spare time, Warren enjoyed watching old movies, reading, especially mystery novels, playing cards; he always loved a great hand of poker, or taking in a Patriots, Red Sox, or Bruins game with his family or friends.

Warren will be fondly remembered as a “great guy”, dependable, friendly and fun to be around.  He was a wonderful husband, father, Papa, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many.  Warren will be dearly missed by all.

Warren was the beloved husband of Sharon L. (Hutchins) Cormier, devoted father of Warren Cormier III of Medford, Danielle Cormier & her significant other Wesley O’Connor of Waltham, Trevor Cormier and Rachael Cormier both of Andover, loving “Papa” of Wesley and Sierra O’Connor, dear brother of Kim Tourigny & her husband Ken of York, ME, Cathy Downs & her husband Glenn, Christopher Cormier, Lori Penney & her husband Tim all of Wilmington, and Scott Cormier & his wife Sam of Windham, NH, son-in-law of Shirley and the late George Hutchins of Andover, brother-in-law of Paul & Cathy Hutchins of North Andover, Scott & Linda Hutchins of Grafton, Sue Young & Steve Boutot of Haverhill, Shirley & Bill Loui of Danville, NH, and Mark Hutchins of Andover.  Warren is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rt. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m.  Following the Service all are welcome to join the family at the Knights of Columbus Hall, School Street, Wilmington.  Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 30th, from 4 -9 p.m.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Warren’s memory may be made to Shooting Stars, 7 A Street, Derry, NH 03038.
