Wayne S. Sferrazza

Wayne S. Sferrazza, age 64, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 5, 2018.

Wayne was the cherished son of the late Francis “Frank” and Isabel (Barrett) Sferrazza, beloved brother of Donna Andrews of Lowell, Paul Sferrazza and his wife Karen, Sandra Langenfeld and her husband John all of Wilmington and the late Robert Sferrazza. Loving uncle of Heather, Kristi, Paul Jr., Scott, Jennifer, John, Deven, Steven. He was the Great-Uncle of Kevin and Caitlyn Leary. Wayne is also survived by many cousins, friends and his best furry friend Sweet Pea, a precious pit bull that he often cared for.

Wayne spent his career working for Raytheon in Massachusetts, from which he retired 5 years ago.

Wayne loved to travel and was fortunate to have been able to visit many places in his lifetime. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, and especially his sister Donna. He loved the New England Patriots and made sure he was able to watch all their games while living in Las Vegas. Wayne was passionate about dogs and always supported dog rescues.

Family and friends are invited to gather in memory of Wayne at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Friday, November 23rd from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. Interment of his ashes will immediately follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to the Great Dog Rescue of New England at www.gdrne.com/donate.

For all the years I worked for him, he was not only a great boss, but also a wonderful friend..although we kept in touch when he moved to Vegas, I will surly miss him now more than ever.
