Welch, Kelly

Kelly Ann Welch, age 40, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly April 30.

Born in Winchester on December 24, 1970, Kelly was the beloved daughter of Maureen E. (Hamilton) and Paul R. Welch, Sr.

She was raised in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1989. Kelly was employed as a waitress for many years. Kelly loved to be around children and in 2003, she began to start a family of her own, marrying Robert Dickey. Although they did not have children together, she still found joy in being around her nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Kelly was the loving wife of Robert Dickey. Cherished daughter of Maureen E. (Hamilton) and Paul R. Welch, Sr. of Wilmington. Biological mother of Ryan Gecks of California. She was the dear sister of Paul R. Welch, Jr. and his girlfriend Jennifer Marsi of Wilmington, Sandra Silvestri and her husband Paul of Billerica and Leslie Welch, also of Billerica. Kelly is also survived by her nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Family and friends are invited to visit and share rememberances at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rt. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, May 7, from 2-6 p.m. immediately followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.

    Maureen, Paul Sr, Paul Jr. I am truly so sorry for this tragic loss that all who knew Kelly are feeling at this time. My heart deeply goes out to all of you. I was blessed during High School to get to know Kelly. Recently Kelly and I as many of us have, re connected after many years. Although only briefly, the pleasure was all mine to do so. My heart and blessings go out to all of you.

    I am so sorry to hear about Kelly’s passing. I was in shock when I heard this. Kelly and I were friends for many years and I have a lot of great memories with her. I am glad that Kelly and I were able to get back in touch a few months ago. She was a wonderful person and she will always have a place in my heart. She will missed by many. God bless.

    I have known known Kelly since she was 5 years old. She grew up to be a beautiful woman. She was kind, compassionate and very loving. I will always remember the conversations she and I had. I will never forget her.
