  4. Kathleen says:

Billy was one of a kind – a person who made everyone around him feel loved and welcome. His family, friends, and acquaintances all felt his love, good nature, and kindness. We were all entertained by his sense of humor, story telling, and unequalled ability to make us laugh. Billy was the type of guy who, when he walked into a room, everyone let out a loud, ‘Billy!’ – because, everyone was genuinely happy to see him – no exceptions – and this is what made Billy so exceptional. He was so loved because he went out of his way to make warm, genuine, and loving connections with everyone in his path. He asked great questions, had a memory for people’s likes and dislikes, and always made those around him feel cared for and connected. His friendships transcended age and gender – he would exchange a book with an elderly grandmother figure or shoot hoops with the youngest kids at a party. Billy was the guy you loved to share a laugh or a story with, or just hang out quietly taking in a movie or a game. Billy will be wildly missed, but we’re all better for having known him – the ultimate sign of a life well-lived.
    Love you guys so much.

Billy was a friend and classmate of our son, Jake, throughout their school years. Terry and John are dear friends. Billy and Jake played football together, had an couple memorable hikes, socialized in the same group and graduated high school together as part of an exceptionally close and special class. Just last summer Billy was on our porch laughing and visiting with Jake and other friends while Jake was home from CA for a visit. Sweet, funny Billy will forever be a part of our family’s life and memories. Rest dear friend, until we meet again.

  10. Michelle says:

Terri and John, Sean and Shannon, The memories that I have of Billy are some truly special ones. Terri, when you brought him to meet all the aunts, uncles and cousins for the first time, it could have been truly daunting for a young guy, but Billy blended right in with ease. His sweet personality emerged from the very beginning and everyone took to him immediately. He became the 1st cousin that got to go on Ann’s trips too, which broke the ice for that incredibly wonderful tradition, adding to the suspense of the adventures for each cousin that followed. John and Terri, you are in my thoughts. Love to all of you.

  12. Theo Selby says:

My memory of Billy is his infectious smile and captivating personality. Every time I saw him, we would talk for long amounts of time about anything and everything. Being one of his English teachers, Billy would often tell me about his ideas for short stories, which were always creative, insightful, and funny. I always left those conversations laughing and smiling, having been drawn in by Billy’s magnetism. I am truly grateful and blessed to have shared a good part of my life with Billy. We are all better off having known Billy. Our hearts are with you all! Love you!
