William S. “Bill” Diehl, age 83, of Wilmington, passed away on November 28, 2015 at the Care One at Wilmington.
Bill was the beloved husband of Gloria L. (Licona) Diehl, devoted father of Richard Diehl & his wife Melanie of Swansea, NH and Robert Diehl & his companion Julie of Rowley, loving “Grampy” of Jessica Diehl and Spc. Patrick Flynn, cherished son of the late Stanley and Thelma (Gross) Diehl, dear brother of Philip Diehl and his wife Joan of PA and the late Robert and James Diehl. Bill is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, December 2nd from 4:00-7:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made to The Congregational Church in Wilmington, 220 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, MA 01887.

I have so many treasured memories of Bill. He was always very kind, yet he never minced words when they were necessary to make a point. He was such a hard worker, some of my best memories are of all his hard work in building the restaurant, everything had to be done just so…and the results were always wonderful. My deepest condolences to Gloria,Richard and Robert, I share your sadness over the passing of this fine man.

I will always CHERRISH the good times. I love how wonderful you were with my son Patrick. You were so good to him. I loved the paintings you painted and I thank you for the gallon of gold sprinkles you gave me to use in my paintings. Patrick pick up your music side. It runs in my family and In yours. I will have you in my heart from now till eternity. God be with you forever Bill. Dustin sent his love also. We shall all miss you so much. You were a great father and husband to Gloria.
