Dave will be missed by so many. Knowing him for so many years leaves me with such sorrow. He was such a great person who was so at peace with his life. I have alot of great memories of our times together. That’s what we need to remember. Thinking about you Carmel and your daughters and family. Marian

I remember Dave’s wicked sense of humor. We’re both so glad that he is a part of our history. So many fun times. Cookouts, dinners, Nantucket in 1974 and again in 2004. Dave was a kind, sweet guy. Our deep sympathy to you, Carmel, Mary T, Carolyn and Josie. Dave will be missed.

So very sorry to hear of Dave’s passing, way too young! He always seemed so content and relaxed in all the many years I”ve known him, even when going through health issues.. He was a devoted husband and great Dad. He will be missed by all in our “Quincy gang ” of friends. My fondest memory is of him on Nantucket driving the van on the dunes with all of us. Hugs to you and your girls, Carmel. xoxo Sue and Mark

    Dear Carmel,
This is a heartbreak of staggering proportions. I remember when Dave first saw you back in the old Gerber days. His eyes followed you everywhere you went and he seemed to always perked right up when you were around. It really was wonderful for all of us to watch. What a blessing for the two of you to have spent your lives together. Dave was a good, kind and decent man w a wonderful sense of humor and a wicked sense of irony. Please know that things will never be the same but they will always get better.

and prayers go out to you, Carmel, your daughters, and granddaughter. Over these many years, we remember Dave for his quiet and friendly demeanor, a great listener, and a wonderful sense of humor. He was one of the nicest people we ever knew, and he will most definitely be missed.

Carmel, Mary T and Carolyn -
I’m heartbroken by the loss of one of my parents’ best friends, and a great family friend to all of us. I hope you guys know we’re still here for you, and don’t want to lose touch. I also hope Josephine keeps you joyful, at least some of the time. My family and I are thinking of you lots, mourning with you, and praying for you and for Dave.
    Big, big hugs.

  8. David Yamarick says:

Dear, dear Carmel, Mary Teresa, Carolyn and family: Our hearts are crushed for you as we remain deeply saddened and shocked at David’s passing. But it was so good to be with you earlier this week, and to begin to think about the incredibly rich memories we’ve shared and will be blessed and comforted by in the days to come. For now, we mourn with you. As always, thank you for your kind hospitality, and for being the greatest companions anytime and any place we’ve ever been together. Remember that amazing never again sunset we experienced together when no one had a camera? David, David: the gentlest of souls who always brought a sense of peacefulness, a dash of humor and a mix of cool music to our many times together. We pray the God of all comfort will comfort you, and be to you all, your refuge and strength. The Lord’s grace and peace in abundance. David and Barbara
