Brown, Ernest Obituary

Ernest “Ernie” Brown, age 81, of Revere, formerly of Wilmington, died unexpectedly, December 12, 2008, at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett.

Ernie was the beloved son of the late Elsie (Van Steensburg) Hammond, dear brother of Robert Hammond of Castle Hayne, NC, John Hammond of Aquasco, MD, and Catherine Woods of Queensburg, NY, special cousin of Aldine McGee of Halifax, MA, Ernie is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his best friends Paul & Lil Hewitt of St. Petersburg, FL.

Ernie grew up in Wilmington and then enlisted in the United States Army and served the country during WWII.

At the time of his death, Ernie was still employed as a Graphic Artist and Cartoonist.

A Memorial Service for Ernie will be held at Wildwood Cemetery on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 11:00am.
