Clinton Francis DeCecca, 77, of Wilmington, died unexpectedly Monday, February 4, 2008. Mr. DeCecca was born on April 28, 1930, in Melrose, MA; he was son of the late Frank John and Mabel Irene (Russell) DeCecca.
He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. His passions included music, drumming, ham radio, scuba diving, and spending time with his family and friends. He served proudly in the U. S. Army, Airborne 77th Special Forces during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a manager for First National Stores after 35 years and continued his career working for Boston Symphony Hall, Boston Garden and the Boston Celtics organization.
Clinton is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret Faith (Plummer) DeCecca, he was the devoted father of Rena F. Webster and her husband William of Salem, NH, Frank J. DeCecca of Barrington, NH, Daniel L. DeCecca and his wife Terri of Raymond, NH, Lisa M. Morris of Haverhill, and Pamela A. Fagan of Derry, NH, cherished grandfather of Billy, Jonathan, Christian, Jimmy, Ashley, Caitlyn, Eli, McKayla, and great-granddaughter Lisa, dear brother of Eleanor Santy of Florida, Barbara Dionne and her husband John of Medford, and the late Clarence Stebbins.
Visiting hours will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Friday, February 8th from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation's in Clinton's name may be made to the Wilmington United Methodist Church, 87 Church St., Wilmington, MA 01887 or to the charity of your choice.
