Dean Carrozza Obituary

Dean J. Carrozza, age 40, of North Andover, formerly of Wilmington, passed away at his home on April 16, 2024. Dean was the beloved son of the late Mary I. (Picardi) Carrozza and late Gerard A. Carrozza of Wilmington, cherished brother to Matthew D. Carrozza, his wife Jilliane, Uncle and God Father to Cooper G. Carrozza all of Wake Forest, NC. Dean was surrounded by love locally from Uncle Albert and Aunt Francis Marotta of Wilmington, Uncle Robert, and Aunt Rosanne Fuller of Tewksbury. Dean is also survived by many cousins.

Dean was a graduate of Wilmington High School, class of 2001, and went on to pursue his passion for IT and computer repair for years at a small shop in Wilmington. Continued refinement of his computer skills was a constant in his life, and he welcomed the opportunity to help anyone with their IT need. Dean’s quiet presence was a reflection of his shy demeanor but given an opportunity to open up, he had a welcoming presence and could light up a space with his handsome smile. Unknown by most, Dean was an accomplished Chess player and for those that were aware, losing to his clever mind was a frequent result.

Dean's presence is profoundly missed, but his memory will continue to be a beacon of warmth for all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

To honor Dean’s life, family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Sunday, April 21st from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  All will gather at the Funeral Home on Monday, April 22nd at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St. (Rte. 38), Wilmington, MA, at 10:00 a.m.  His interment will take place in the family lot at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dean’s memory may be made to Massachusetts Association for Mental Health (MAMH), 50 Federal St., 6th Floor, Boston, MA  02110.
