Debra L. Bent

Debra Lee Bent, “Deb”, age 63, a life-long resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 10, 2023.

Deb was the cherished daughter of Frederick E. and Elna L. “Ellie” (Aalerud) Bent of Wilmington, beloved sister of Susan Bent of Exeter, NH, Frederick Bent and his wife Noreen of Dracut, and Steven Bent and his wife Susan of Westford.  Loving Aunt to Brian and his wife Amanda, Timothy and his wife Sara and Christopher and his wife Ali. Deb was also the proud Great-Aunt of Daisy.  Deb is further survived by several aunts and uncles, many cousins, and friends.

In her younger years, Deb was an avid sports player, including basketball, field hockey and softball. She also coached many young girls’ basketball teams. She loved teaching the young ones the skills of basketball and watching as they embraced the sport.

Deb was a passionate traveler. She was always planning the next trip. Some of her most favorite places were Egypt, Barcelona, Amish Country and Walt Disney World.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Sunday, October 29th for Visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Service to Celebrate Deb’s life at 2:00 p.m.
