Gennetti, Matthew Obituary

Matthew D. "Squeegee" Gennetti passed away suddenly on June 28, 2008. He was 24 years old.

A lifelong resident of Wilmington, Matthew was a 2003 graduate of Wilmington High School. He was on the wrestling team, football team and was a member of the Wilmington High School Band. Also, in 2003 he was presented with the Semper Fi award in wrestling for his outstanding devotion to the team.

Matthew was the beloved son of David and Nancy (Bolduc) Gennetti and grandson of Alta (Dufield) Bolduc of New Hampshire and her late husband Ernest and the late Daniel and Dorothy "Dolly" (Spadafora) Gennetti. He was the dear brother of Miranda Gennetti of North Carolina and his twin brother Luke J. Gennetti of Wilmington. Matthew was also the adoring uncle of Gavin, Gabriella and Laine of North Carolina.

Matt is also survived by his aunts and uncles; Peter Gennette of Malden, William, Barbara and Janice Gennetti all of Wilmington, John of CT, and Richard and Bonnie Bolduc of NH, his cousins; Daniel Gennetti, "Moose" Gennetti and Patti Willcox of Malden, Chris Jones of Medford, Keri and Lindsay Gennetti of Wilmington, Michael Gennetti of NH, John Gennetti of Wilmington, Joseph and James Gennetti of Dracut, Gina Sandelli of Chelmsford, Nick, Anthony and Thomas Gennetti of Maynard, Brianna Gennetti of Boxboro, Chuck and Justin Vallas of Wilmington, Andy and Cam Owens of Wilmington and Derek Bolduc of NH and his dear friend Sarah Carlino of Wilmington.

The Funeral will be held from the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington on Thursday, July 3rd at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy's Church, Main Street (Route 38), Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, July 2nd from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Matt's memory may be made to the Matt Gennetti Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Lowell Five Savings Bank, 240 Main Street, Wilmington, MA 01887.
