Haubner, Mark Obituary

Mark Joseph Haubner “Port”, age 26, a life-long resident of Wilmington, died Friday, January 2, 2009, at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Winchester, MA, on July 7, 1982, Mark was the beloved son of Frank and Mary-Beth (Pierce) Haubner of Wilmington. Mark attended Wilmington Public Schools and was a graduate of Wilmington High School Class of 2001. Mark grew up playing Hockey in Wilmington and Woburn and was known for his “great slap shot” by his brothers. Mark spent a great deal of time with his grandmother and extended family in Woburn, leaving memories that will forever be cherished. At the time of his death, Mark was employed at Honda North in Danvers.

In his spare time Mark loved working on cars especially his Toyotas, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and he loved movies. Mark will be remembered for his artistic ability, his endearing personality, and his concern for others, always looking out for someone else. Mark's family and friends will remember him as someone who was his own person who did his own thing at his own pace. They will miss him dearly.

Mark was the loving brother of Ryan F. Haubner and his wife Jamie of Tyngsboro and Shawn P. Haubner and his wife Katherine of Chicopee, devoted uncle of Jacob R. and Benjamin X. Haubner, Mark was dearly beloved and will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, January 7th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours Tuesday, January 6th from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Memorial donations in Mark's name may be made to the New England Organ Bank, 1 Gateway Center, Suite 202, Newton, MA 02458.
