Vittorio Iocco, of Wilmington, a hardworking, courageous man, died with dignity on Sunday, March 23, 2008, at home with his family around him. Vittorio was born 70 years ago on September 18, 1937, in Orsogna, Italy, he was the son of the late Vincenzo & Lucia (Carullo) Iocco and he came to America as a young boy. Vittorio owned and operated The Avenue Barber Shop in Lexington for over 50 years, he was very passionate about his job and he loved the people. Vittorio was the beloved husband of Ines I. (Cutone) Iocco, devoted father of Vincent P. Iocco & his wife Jacqueline, Lucy M. Robinson & her husband Michael all of Wilmington, Debbie A. Greco & her husband Anthony of Andover, loving grandfather of Julianna & Vittorio Iocco, Travis Howard, and Andrew Bezjian, brother of Maddalena Carafa of Italy. Owner of “The Avenue” Barber Shop in Lexington, MA. His Funeral will take place from the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday, March 28th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, March 27th from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Vittorio's name may be made to VNA of Middlesex-East & Visiting Nurse Hospice, 607 North Ave., Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01860 or to the Lahey Clinic Oncology Dept., 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805.
