James Beaupre Obituary

James T. Beaupre, “Jim”, age 78, of Wilmington, passed away on September 28, 2022.

Jim was born on March 5, 1944, in San Diego, CA; he was the son of the late James G. and Eleanor G. (Walsh) Beaupre.  Jim’s family moved around a lot throughout his childhood but ended up in Massachusetts when he was eighteen.

Jim enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on May 7, 1965; he proudly served for more than four years before being honorably discharged on November 5, 1969.

Jim married Donna (Maxwell) Beaupre and they shared a joyful, enchanted union.  They settled in Billerica, where they raised their two beautiful daughters, Alysia, and Danielle.  Jim was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with the girls and the family where they created many magical memories until Donna’s unexpected passing on March 14, 1999.

Jim was fortunate enough to find love again when he met Mary Katherine, “Mary Kay” (Munchbach) Stukey in 2006.  The couple lived in Wilmington and were married on June 2, 2011. Jim and Mary Kay enjoyed a blissful and loving marriage and cherished each other and their time together. She kept him on his toes!  She brought the playfulness, and he was her steady rock. They seemed to be complete opposites but fit perfectly with each other. Mary Kay affectionately says that “she drove Jim crazy” but Jim was “always by her side”.  Mary Kay was a devoted wife and companion and Jim’s entire world. As Jim’s health declined, she stuck by his side to ensure he was always comfortable and content. Her level of attentiveness and care was a true testament to the love she had for Jim.

Jim worked as an installer at Simplex-Grinnell for many years; his dedication to his job earned him a promotion to Supervisor.  He worked as a supervisor until 2006 when he retired.

Jim will be remembered as a fantastic handyman; he was known as “Mr. Fix-It”.  No project was too big or too small for Jim.  Jim was highly skilled and enjoyed a challenge.  He could repair anything, while living in Billerica he renovated his entire house on his own.  He did everything from adding sheetrock and expanding the bedroom room wall to plumbing and electrical work.  There was nothing he couldn’t do!

Beloved husband and father, Jim is leaving behind his beautiful wife, Mary Katherine Stukey and his cherished daughters Alysia Haneef and her husband Rashid Haneef of Exeter, NH and Danielle Beaupre of Raleigh, NC.  Jim was also a dear stepfather to Derek Stukey and his longtime partner, Katie McGowan, William Stukey, Benjamin Stukey, and Jessica (Stukey) Vargas and her husband Antido, all of Wilmington, MA. Jim was also the proud Grandfather of Nolan and Aurora. Vargas.

Jim also leaves behind a dear brother, Stephen C. Sedlacek of Wilmington, sister, Karen E. Flanagan & her husband James of Saugus and the late Joseph P. Sedlacek of Woburn, MA.

At the family’s request, funeral services for Jim will be private.

Memorial donations in Jim’s name may be made to Beth Israel Lahey Health at Home Hospice, 600 Cummings Center, Suite 270X, Beverly, MA 01915.
