John B. Carpenter

John B. Carpenter, age 50, of Tewksbury, passed away on August 2, 2022, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  

John was born on August 31, 1971, in Providence, RI; he was the son of John Carpenter and the late Elizabeth (Macaruso) Carpenter.  John was raised and educated in Providence.  Following graduation, John attended Boston College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.   

John worked as the lead Radiology tech in the Operating Room at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.    He enjoyed his job; he took pride in caring for his patients and had so many spectacular coworkers that loved him so much.  He will be greatly missed by his Radiology team. 

John met his wife, Kristen (Dinan) Carpenter in 2013.  They dated for two years and were married on August 9, 2015.  John and Kristen settled in Tewksbury, where they welcomed their two children, Liam, and Cameron, in 2017 & 2019.  John loved being a dad and looked forward to sharing his love of the mountains and sports with his sons, while creating numerous loving memories. 

John was an avid hiker; his favorite place to hike was the White Mountains.  Not only did John complete all 48 four thousand footers, but he also returned to those rugged trails to support his best friend in completing some of the hardest ones on the list.  John also enjoyed trivia and sports.  He loved Boston sports, especially the Bruins; John looked forward to watching the games with his family and friends.  He was dedicated to his fantasy baseball league with his brother and their friends.  Secretly, John had a special place in his heart for the Yankees! 

John will be remembered for his adventurous and fun-loving personality.  He will be missed by his family and friends. 

John was the beloved husband of Kristen (Dinan) Carpenter, devoted “Daddy” of Liam Carpenter and Cameron Carpenter, loving son of John Carpenter of Providence, RI, dear brother of Dan Carpenter & his wife Kerri and Sherry Carpenter all of Providence, RI, son-in-law of Patricia and Jon MacDonald of Goffstown, NH, brother-in-law of Sean Dinan & his wife Kristen, Patrick Dinan & his wife Rosie all of Weare, NH, and Ian MacDonald of Goffstown, NH, special uncle of Dante Carpenter, Chris Carpenter, Lavena Dinan, Brianna Dinan, Kylie Dinan and Arie MacDonald.  John is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Avenue, (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Monday, August 22nd from 10:00 a.m. -11:15 a.m. immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 11:30 a.m.
