Jones, Leo

Leo F. Jones, age 51, of Woburn, formerly of Wilmington, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at the Winchester Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Leo was born on December 12, 1956, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was the beloved son of Charlotte L. & the late Herbert Jones of Wilmington. Leo moved with his family to Wilmington as a child. He attended Wilmington Public Schools and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1976. In his spare time Leo enjoyed fishing, golf, playing pool, and he loved motorcycles.

Besides his mother, Leo is survived by his loving wife Carol A. (Lowe) Jones of Woburn, he was the step-father of Sean Willard and Amanda Willard, brother of the late Barbara McLaughlin, uncle of Michael McLaughlin of Los Angeles, CA, and Beth LeBlanc & her husband Peter of Revere, great uncle of Peter & Joseph LeBlanc.

His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 15th, 10:30 a.m. at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, from 6-9 p.m.
