Kathleen J. (Campbell) Sharp, "Kathy", age 78, of Peabody, died peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Beverly Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Robert R. Sharp, to whom she was married for 56 years.
Born in Salem on June 2, 1944, Kathy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Louise (Mullarkey) Campbell. She was raised and educated in Salem, graduating from Salem High School, and then attending Merrimack College.
A longtime Peabody resident, Kathy worked at the Dan Clasby & Company accounting firm. She was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed countless summers at the family cottage in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. She was a parishioner at St. Adelaide’s Church and a long-time member of the Bishop Fenwick Guild.
Kathy was devoted to her five sons, Brian and Karen Sharp of Peabody, Kevin and Debbie Sharp of North Reading, Stephen Sharp and Jillian Cavanaugh of Dover, New Hampshire, Robert and Erin Sharp of Lakeville, and Richard and Jill Sharp of Middleton. She also had seven grandchildren who she adored, Kylie, Brian and Samantha Sharp of Peabody, Willow and Bryce Sharp of North Reading, and Michael and Sam Sharp of Middleton.
She is also survived by her sister, Elaine McNiff, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Eleanor Campbell, James Campbell, Paul Campbell, Dennis Campbell, Marie O’Neil, and Claire Taché.
Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, February 2nd from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell Street, Peabody on Friday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m., immediately followed by a burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 185 Lake Street, Peabody.
