Mrs. Elizabeth M. “Betty” (Taylor) Mardney, 81, of Haverhill, formerly of Wilmington, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Winchester Hospital.
Betty, was born December 13, 1926, in Boston, MA, she was daughter of the late John F. & Catherine (Buckley) Taylor. She grew up in Roxbury, MA. Betty and her husband moved their family to Wilmington in 1954. She was an active member of St. Thomas Church in Wilmington for many years. Prior to retirement, Betty worked in the Quality Control Department for Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting. In 2001 Betty moved to Haverhill to be closer to her son and his wife and she resided there until her death.
She was the beloved wife of the late William A. Mardney, devoted mother of William Mardney and his wife Debbie of Haverhill, loving aunt of Paul Losordo of Hingham, Tommy Losordo of NC, Kenny Losordo of Falmouth, and Donnie Losordo of Tupelo, MS.
Her funeral will be held from the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday morning at 9:30 followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave.,Wilmington, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the family lot at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. Visiting hours Thursday from 3-7 p.m.
