Marjorie A. (Callahan) Doyle

Marjorie A. (Callahan) Doyle, age 84, a long-time resident of Wilmington and Reading, passed away on April 23, 2023. 

Born on February 10, 1939, in Brunswick, ME, Marjorie was the cherished daughter of the late George F. and Gladys C. (Carr) Callahan.

Marjorie worked as a secretary for Raytheon in Tewksbury for over twenty years before retiring.

Marjorie’s family was most important to her; she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She also loved to travel; her favorite place to visit was Aruba, and she happily spent the past thirty-seven years vacationing there with family and friends.

In her spare time, Marjorie enjoyed crafting and reading.  She also loved watching Red Sox games with her family.  Marjorie watched every game during the season, and even watched repeats for entertainment.

Marjorie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

Marjorie was the beloved wife of the late Donald P. Doyle, Sr., devoted mother of Pamela Anderson of Wilmington, Richard Cairns, Jr. of North Swanzey, NH, and the late Penny Gravina and her husband David of Newburyport; loving “Nana” of Thomas Anderson of Wilmington, Timothy Anderson & his wife Lindsay of Medway, Kelly Roach & her husband Sean of Brea, CA, Daniel Gravina and his fiancé Kaitlin Poor of Somerville, and Alexandrya Cairns and her significant other Austin Bell of Windham, CT, as well as Alexandrya’s brother Dax and mother Carly Hansen and her husband Paul of Fitchburg; dear sister of Georgia Callahan of North Reading, Robert Callahan & his wife Dorothy of Wilmington, Barbara Gilman of Reading, and the late Daniel Callahan.  Marjorie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, April 26th from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
