Mark Esposito Obituary

Mark A. Esposito, age 66, a life-long resident of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2023, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.

Mark was born on December 14, 1956, in Everett, MA; he was the cherished son of the late Gerald and Cynthia Esposito.  Mark was raised and educated in Wilmington, MA, and was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1976.  Mark loved playing sports throughout his life; he was a talented athlete and a great teammate.  Mark enjoyed Wilmington Little League baseball, youth hockey, and Pop Warner football and continued to play hockey and football as a Wilmington High Wildcat.

Mark married his "high school sweetheart" Lisa Gubellini, on July 10, 1982; the couple raised a wonderful family, worked hard at their family business, and shared many great times with family and friends throughout the years.  Mark was a devoted husband and dad but he really cherished his role as "Grampy" to Cynthia and "Bald Grampy" to JJ; he just loved spoiling those kids.

Mark looked forward to the time he spent at their family home on Long Lake in Naples, Maine, where everyone was welcomed.  Mark loved snowmobiling with family and friends, heading out on his UTV's for an adventure, or just relaxing by the Lake; it was definitely his "happy place".

Mark was a hard worker throughout his life; he and his wife Lisa started Esposito Carpet in Wilmington in 1993.  Mark installed countless carpets and flooring throughout the years; he had a great personality and terrific people skills.  Mark was a perfectionist when it came to his work, he got along well with the customers and made sure everyone was happy; all attributes that made him successful.

When Mark wasn't working or on the lake he could often been seen "Cruising" or as Mark would say "a hot lap" in '99 black Mustang Cobra he fondly named "Lolita"; she was his pride and joy.

Mark will be fondly remembered as a "great guy"; he had an endearing personality and an infectious smile.  Mark was always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone in need whether he knew you or not.  Mark loved his family and friends unconditionally and would do anything for them.  Mark has touched so many people throughout his life; he will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Mark was the beloved husband of Lisa M. (Gubellini) Esposito, devoted father of Celeste Scifo & husband Joe and Joseph Esposito & wife Jessica all of Wilmington.  Loving "Grampy" of Cynthia Scifo and "Bald Grampy" to Joseph "JJ" Esposito, Jr..  Cherished son of the late Gerald and Cynthia (Normine) Esposito, dear brother of Michael Esposito & wife Lee of North Hampton, NH, Dino Esposito & wife Sheila of Billerica and Cindy Meehan & her late husband Walter of Wilmington, brother-in-law of Marcella Sweet of Wilmington and the late Eric Gubellini.  Mark is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
