Medeiros, Nicholas Obituary

Nicholas Medeiros, age 69, of Tewksbury, formerly of Wilmington, died Monday, December 22, 2008, at Heritage Manor in Lowell following a brief illness.

Born on February 20,1939 in Cambridge, MA, Nicholas was the beloved son of the late Nicholas & Victoria (Almeida) Medeiros. Nicholas grew up in Cambridge and was educated there. Nicholas served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Nicholas lived in Wilmington for many years and worked as an auto mechanic at Wilmington Ford prior to retirement. He moved to Tewksbury several years ago.

In his spare time, Nicholas enjoyed talking sports with his family and friends, he loved New England Sports teams especially the Red Sox and the Patriots.

Nicholas was the dear brother of Richard “Dick” Medeiros & his wife Dolores of Florida, formerly of Wilmington, Robert Medeiros & his wife Norma of Sandwich, MA, William Medeiros of California, Maryann Muise of Cambridge, and Victoria Volpicelli & her husband John of North Carolina. Nicholas was also the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Family & friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Monday, December 29th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Dorothy's Church, Main St., Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours Sunday, December 28th from 3-5 p.m.
