Michael A. Manni, age 58, of Wilmington, passed away on July 14, 2022, after a long battle with Lymphoma.
Michael was born on May 28, 1964, in Malden, MA; he was the cherished only son to Ruth and Victor Manni. Michael was raised and educated in Wilmington and a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1983. In his younger years, Michael, had a passion for all kinds of music; he even belonged to a "Rock Band" back in the day with the neighborhood kids. Michael went on to continue his education at the College of Fine Arts in Boston; earning his degree in Art History.
Throughout his life, Michael, had an incredible talent for painting and sculpting, he had a vast interest in History and Art and he enjoyed collecting historical artifacts and old coins. Michael was "well read"; he enjoyed novels of all kinds and was fabulous at trivia.
Michael loved to travel, he enjoyed heading up and down the Seacoast areas and he lived in Chicago for many years before returning home to the Boston area.
Michael's pride and joy was his daughter Violet, who he adored. Michael's family was the center of his world; he enjoyed family holidays, vacations, and spending as much time with them as he could.
Michael will be fondly remembered as a wonderful son, dad, brother, uncle and friend to many. He showed so much courage and will power as he fought Lymphoma for so many years; never giving up. Michael was so kind and thoughtful towards everyone he met and will forever live in their hearts.
Michael was the devoted father of Violet Manni of Chicago, IL, cherished son of Ruth L. (Manning) Manni and the late Victor A. Manni of Wilmington, dear brother of Dawn (Manni) Grasso & her husband Louis of Wilmington, loving uncle of Cassandra and Samantha Grasso. Michael is also survived by his former wife and friend, Linda Stine, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends will gather at Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Thursday, July 21st at 9:00 a.m. immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
