Robert P. Palmer, Jr.,”Rob”, age 40, a life-long resident of Wilmington, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, September 10, 2008.

Rob was born on December 3, 1967, in Woburn, MA. He was the beloved son of Robert P., Sr. & Jane (Randell) Palmer of Wilmington.

Rob attended Austin Prep. High School in Reading and graduated from Wilmington High School, Class of 1985, he went on to earn an Associates Degree at Middlesex Community College in Bedford. Rob started his own company “Patriot Appraisals” and was self-employed as a real estate appraiser at the time of his death. Rob was also a Wilmington Reserve Police Officer.

In his spare time Rob loved to play baseball and golf, he thoroughly enjoyed camping with family and friends, he was an avid gardener producing flowers and vegetables, and was a die hard Bruins fan. Rob also had a talent for writing, he wrote a book titled “Vessel of Sanctuary” and self published it under the penn name of Terry Winslow. Rob was very devoted to his family, he spent a great deal of time with his parents, sister & brothers, he was a very special uncle, and a reliable friend to many, he will be greatly missed.

Rob was the dear brother of Betsy Feeley & her husband James of Medford, Patrick Palmer & his wife Hawli of Hookset, NH, and John Palmer & his wife Alicia of Wilmington. Rob was a special uncle to Krista, Katelyn, Kacey, Kerri, & Kyleigh Palmer, goddaughter Breanne, Ian, & Jocelyn Palmer, and Shawn & Erik Feeley. He was the loving nephew of Vernon & Beatrice Randell of Hampstead, NH, Carol & George Munroe and Joyce & Stephen Cail all of Dunstable, Ann & Ervyl Stewart of Harwichport, Faith & the late Douglas Palmer of St. Peters, MO, Richard & the late Rachel Palmer and Theresa “Chickie” & the late Jay Palmer all of Wilmington. He was a life-long friend of Mike Stuart and Ron Naimo. Rob is also survived by many close cousins.

Family & friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Monday, September 15th at 8:45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 14th from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
