Peach, Jean M.

Mrs. Jean M. (Vatalaro) Peach, age 74, of Wilmington, formerly of Allston, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family.

Jean was born January 31, 1933, in Boston, MA, she was daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (LeConti) Vatalaro. Jean spent most of her life on Easton Street in Allston, MA, where she could be seen walking from Porter Square to Union Square and if you met her along the way you were greeted with a bright smile and a wave. Jean and her husband Stanley moved to Wilmington a few years ago to be closer to their family. Married for 54 years, Jean enjoyed traveling, walking, slot machines, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends. They will always remember her as a sociable, loving, “ball of energy” who had a unique decorating style for the holidays and who was always there to lend a hand. She will be greatly missed.

Jean was the beloved wife of 54 years of Stanley E. Peach, loving mother of Jean & Michael Caples of Wilmington, Gary & Corine Peach of Tewksbury, Roberta Peach of Hingham, and the late Stanley Peach, Jr., cherished Nana of Michelle, Jamie, Liane, Kerry, Mark, Rebecca, Bobby, Matty, Kelly, Dennis, and the late Michael Caples, Jr., exceptionally proud great-nana of Domenic, Amanda, Darren, David and James, Jr., sister of Mary Wable of Ohio, Genevieve DeLuco of Waltham, John Vatalaro of Watertown, and the late Anthony Vatalaro, Michael Vatalaro, Ralph Vatalaro, Lillian Vecchione, and Rose McLaughlin, also survived by many loving nieces & nephews.

Her funeral was held from the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Monday, July 30th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church at 10:00 a.m.
