Peter Graziano Obituary

Peter A. Graziano, of Antrim, NH, formerly of Woburn, MA, and Tewksbury, MA, passed away unexpectedly in an auto accident on December 1, 2022, in Athens, New York.

Peter was born on May 20, 1951, in Winchester, MA; he was the cherished son of the late Anthony J. and Jennie-Sara (Rambello) Graziano.  Peter was raised in a large and loving Italian family in Woburn, MA; he attended Woburn Public Schools and graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1969.  Peter married his "high school sweetheart" and his life-long best friend, Joanne Vasconcellos, on June 30, 1973.  Peter and Joanne moved to Tewksbury, where they had their three children. Family was everything to Peter. He and Joanne raised three loving and caring children and enjoyed spoiling their nine grandchildren. Family time was always filled with love, laughter, and many memories.

Peter had an incredible work ethic that he carried throughout his life.  He started his career as a professional bonded truck driver employed at Walpole Woodworkers in Wilmington during the day and at Purity Supreme at night.  After leaving Purity Supreme, Peter drove for Shaw's Markets, where he retired. Peter was well respected by his co-workers and made many life-long friends throughout his career.  Peter continued to drive one day a week after he retired from Shaw's.   Peter also worked part-time for MTV Solutions.

Peter was known to be a "Jack of all trades" who knew little about everything and was always the person you called when you needed help fixing something.  He took pride in everything he did and was always very calm and even-keeled, no matter the task or situation.  Whether you were family or a friend, Peter would drop everything to help, no questions asked. With his many talents and wisdom, Peter built their family home in Antrim, NH, alongside family and friends. Their home was where all were welcome, and many great times were shared.

Peter will be fondly remembered as a selfless man. Moreover, a loving, generous, provider, and devoted family man and friend. He was an incredible role model for his children and grandchildren; he taught them the importance of hard work and how to treat others and instilled strong family values.  Peter was the calmest and most levelheaded person. He lived by his motto, "stay calm and think positive."  Peter touched so many throughout his life and will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Peter was the beloved husband of Joanne Graziano, devoted father of Peter Graziano, Jr. & his wife Jody of Wilmington, Paula Hogenmiller & her fiancé Brian Johnson of Orange City, FL., and David Graziano & his wife Andrea of Tewksbury.  Loving "Papa" of Alexa, Alivia, Anthony, Chloe, Dante, Matteo, Giacinto, Vincenza, and Antonia.  Peter was the dear brother of Jean Irwin & her husband Joe of Wolfeboro, NH, formerly of Wilmington, David Graziano of Woburn, and the late Anthony Graziano.  He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Tuesday, December 27, from 4:00-8:00 p.m.  A Service to Celebrate Peter's life will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m., followed by his interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester, MA.
