Robert G. Pittman, Jr., 63, of Chelmsford, formerly of Tewksbury, and graduate of Somerville High School, on February 10, 2008, following a long illness.

Beloved husband of Cathy (Martin) Pittman, devoted father of Scott Pittman of Boston, James Pittman & his wife Jennifer of Chelmsford, and Robert Pittman & his wife Alexandra of Jamaica Plain, loving grandfather of Riley and Ava Pittman of Chelmsford and Thomas Pittman of Jamaica Plain, dear son of the late Robert G., Sr. & Frances E. (McBride) Pittman, brother of Stephen Pittman & his wife Debby of Groton, uncle of Randall Pittman & his wife Ginnie of New Ipswich, NH, and their sons Ben, Brady, & Kyle, and Daniel Pittman of San Diego, CA, former husband of Nancy (Grant) Pittman of Lowell, step-father of Shawn T. Hinds, Jr. & his wife Sara of Lexington, KY, Jeffrey Hinds & his wife Janelle stationed in Colorado Springs, CO, and Jillian Hinds of Chelmsford, step-grandfather of Caitlin Hinds of Lexington, KY and Dallas Hinds of Colorado Springs, CO, also survived by co-worker, nephew and dear friend Phil Hackert of Wilmington and his beloved dogs Trevor, Kane & Kirby. Retired employee M.B.T.A.

Visiting hours will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, February 14th from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert's name may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation, 9221 Ward Parkway., Suite 400, Kansas City, MO 64114-3367.
