Richard G. Carlo

Richard G. Carlo, 74, of Wilmington, died accidently, January 5, 2007 in Stoneham, MA.

Richard was born November 12, 1932, in Medford, MA, he was the son of the late Alphonse B. & Elizabeth (Lyons) Carlo. He grew up in Somerville, and attended Somerville Public Schools. Upon completion of High School, Richard served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. When Richard returned from his military service, he attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. He was first employed at General Electric located in Hartford, CT, and later he went into business for himself until his retirement.

Richard was the devoted father of Gerard T. Carlo & his wife Karen L. of North Reading, and Thomas W. Carlo & his wife Kathleen P. of Wilmington, loving grandfather of Meghan R. C. Carlo, former husband of Francine P. (Bourke) Carlo of Wilmington, brother of Robert Carlo of Townsend and the late Bernard Carlo.

Visiting hours were held Friday, January 12, at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington. Funeral service were private.
