Thomas W. Robbins, age 69, of Wilmington, died unexpectedly, Thursday, November 27, 2008, at the Winchester Hospital.
Thomas was born on December 2, 1938, in Somerville and was the son of the late Paul R. And Flora (Phelps) Robbins. Thomas grew up in Medford and graduated from the Medford Public Schools. He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. Thomas moved to Wilmington in 1971 and began a 14 year career as a Wilmington Firefighter, followed by years as a finish carpenter, truck driver, limo driver, courier, and his last position was with Springfield Auto Parts.
Thomas spent many years ministering the word of God. In his spare time he was a gifted artist and enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, and watching the Patriots.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Donna L. (Dupras) Robbins, he was the devoted father of Stephen M. Robbins of Wilmington, William D. Robbins & his wife Candace of Londonderry, NH, and Richard A. Robbins & his wife Marti of Deerfield, NH, loving grandfather of Katlyn Robbins, dear brother of George Robbins of Billerica and Stephen Robbins of Wilmington, Tom is also survived by many brothers & sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service was held at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Tuesday, December 2nd at 12:00 noon. Interment took place in Wildwood Cemetery.
