Sandra Angles Obituary

Sandra J. Angles (Jordan), "Sandy", age 82, of North Andover, formerly of Quincy and Hull, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024.

Sandy was born on December 13, 1941, in Lorain, Ohio; she was the dear only daughter to the late Harold S. and Mayre M. (Rousch) Jordan.  Sandy was raised and educated in Lorain, OH and was a graduate of  Lorain  High School.

Sandy had a passion for helping others which led to her career in the Medical Field; she started out as a candy striper at a local hospital where she met a young resident, Alberto Angles.  Sandy and Alberto were soon inseparable, they married and had a son Alberto Jr. or fondly known at "Tito" to his parents.  Alberto's career took the family all over the United States including Detroit, MI, Florida, Virginia, New York, and finally to Massachusetts in the 1960's where Sandy made her home.  Sandy continued her education taking classes to further her career as a Surgical Technician at the Boston Medical Center.  Sandy loved her job, her patients, and her co-workers; she was very dedicated to her work and she created many wonderful friendships with the staff before retiring in 2014.

Sandy lived in Quincy for many years where she raised her son; she was a devoted mother who showered him with unconditional love and support.  Sandy was eager to show Tito the world and all it had to offer; she encouraged him to spread his wings and try all sorts of sports, hobbies, and to work hard on his education.  Sandy also enjoyed traveling and she took Tito to Peru to teach him his heritage, to meet his family, and to explore the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.  Sandy was so proud of her son and of all of his accomplishments; she was especially happy to see him marry his wonderful wife Mary and to give her grandchildren to spoil.  Sandy's role as "Grammy" was one she treasured; she looked forward to spending as much time with her grandchildren as she could.  She just adored her grandchildren and loved taking them on adventures, play dates, and she was always there to attend their school and sporting events; she was always their biggest cheerleader.

In her spare time, Sandy enjoyed meeting new people and seeing new places.  She traveled to Europe.  She painted.  Sandy had a warm, kind personality and got along well with everyone.  Sandy also enjoyed the beach, walking, soaking up the sun, watching the beautiful sunsets and dipping her toes in the surf; this led to her purchase of a beautiful condo right on the ocean in Hull, MA, where she had a view of the water from every room.  Sandy was known to have a knack for decorating; she was creative, artistic, and made her home warm and welcoming.  She did so much with that condo. She poured her love into it.

Sandy will be fondly remembered as a beautiful lady inside and out; she loved her family and friends with all her heart and she will forever be missed by all who knew her.

Sandy was the beloved mother of Alberto "Tito" Angles, Jr. and his wife Mary Flaherty-Angles of North Andover, she was the loving "Grammy" of Brianna Barbosa Angles, Christopher M. Angles, John F.C. Angles, Samuel J. Angles, Lucas C. Angles, and great-granddaughters Naomi and Margot.  She was the dear sister of the late William "Bill" Jordan and the late Richard "Dick" Jordan.  Sandy is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
