Stanley Matthews Radomski

Stanley M. Radomski, “Stan”, age 77, of Wilmington, MA and Pompano Beach, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones and caregivers on July 3, 2022.

Stan was the beloved husband of 44 years to Sarah “Sally” M. (Gravallese) Radomski, devoted father of Jim Moynihan & his wife Kim (Stasche) Moynihan of Collegeville, PA. Loving "Papa" of Morgan and Maddie Moynihan and of grandpuppies Ollie and Bella. Cherished son of the late Stanley and Mary (Woloszynsky) Radomski. Stan was the brother-in-law of Louise “Dolly” Gravallese and Tony and Muriel (Thompson) Gravallese. Stan was the nephew of the late Michael Woloszynsky who played a big role in his upbringing. Stan was also the very special uncle of several nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much. He was known to many family friends as “Uncle Stan.”

Stan was born on June 26, 1945, in New York, NY, and grew up in Manhattan. He attended the Art and Design High School, as well as Pace University, in New York. Stan worked for the New York Department of Hospitals for 3 years, and the New York City Police Department for 15 years. The only thing that could draw him away from his beloved NYC was true love. And in 1978, he married his beloved wife, Sally, at Our Lady of Grace Church in Everett and as they narrowly escaped the Blizzard of ‘78 on their honeymoon. They lived in Malden until 1983, then moved to Wilmington, MA. 

Stan never missed a sporting event in which his son was participating, be it local games or weekend tournaments. Stan was well known to all the players and families of the teams he supported in Everett and then Wilmington. And he was always willing to go out for pizza after the game.

Stan worked for the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, in the Charlestown Navy Yard, for 26 years, retiring in 2005 on the same day that Sally retired. This freed them up to spend more time traveling and to spend winters in the sun at their condo in Pompano Beach, FL.

Stan led an active life. He loved the beach, he loved to walk, he loved listening to live music outdoors, and he loved to travel. He and Sally would look forward to their bi-annual trips to Kauai, and their many, many timeshares and trips to various parts of Florida and the U.S. They loved their annual trips with friends and family to Lauderdale by the Sea. Closer to home, they enjoyed taking day trips to Wells Beach and Salisbury Beach, and an occasional timeshare on the Cape.

Stan and Sally were Massachusetts state bocce champions. 

Stan was a volunteer in the Wilmington community for many years with the Wilmington Booster’s Association, and the Wilmington Sons of Italy where he served as a Trustee and as Orator. Stan also volunteered for several years at the Boston Marathon, the Fort Lauderdale Marathon, and the Wells, ME Seafood Festival.

Services for Stan will be private.
