Stephanie Liberacki Obituary

Stephanie Liberacki, age 64, of Beaver Cove, ME, formerly of Wilmington, MA, passed away after a lengthy illness on January 22, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor, ME.

Stephanie was born on September 19, 1959, in Cambridge, MA; she was the cherished daughter of Carole (Bingiel) Liberacki and the late John Liberacki of Wilmington, MA.  Stephanie was raised and educated in Wilmington, MA, and was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1977.  Following graduation, Stephanie went on to further her education by earning her Paralegal degree from Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA.

Stephanie enjoyed a successful career with The MITRE Corporation in Bedford, MA, where she was a valued employee in the Classified Administration Department for many years. Stephanie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis as a young woman and as her disease progressed she was forced to retire.

Stephanie moved to her "happy place" cabin high on a hillside along beautiful Moosehead Lake in Beaver Cove, ME.  Stephanie loved the outdoors and all the beauty nature had to offer; she would often be found feeding the wildlife whether it was squirrels, turkeys, deer, or hummingbirds and at night she loved to sit outdoors and listen to the owls.  She loved to photograph the animals and all the nature that surrounded her. Stephanie enjoyed bird hunting and ice fishing with her family and friends; everyone always had a great time.

Stephanie loved spending time with her family; she was a wonderful daughter, sister, and aunt and she always looked forward to their visits.  Stephanie will be fondly remembered for her silly sense of humor, her big heart, and her warrior spirit that kept her going even throughout her illness.  She was a beautiful lady inside and out and she will forever be missed by all who loved her.

Stephanie was the dear sister of Janet Profirio of Woburn, MA, Nancy Liberacki-Jensen, Michael Liberacki and his wife Colleen, and James Liberacki, all of Wilmington, MA, and Julie Lee and her husband Charles of Duncanville, TX.  She was the loving aunt of Stephen Hunnewell and his wife Jess, David Profirio, Jennifer McGuire and her husband Robert, John Jensen, Michelle Jensen, Michael Jensen, the late Brian Liberacki, Kristin Liberacki, Elizabeth Hesson and her husband John, great-aunt of Hunter, Hayden, Avery, Elizabeth, Kira, Logan, Danika, John Jr., James, Linnea, Amelia, Brandon, Grayson, Michael Jr., Kaden, Thomas, and Leeyana.  Stephanie is also survived by her aunts, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Sunday, February 4th from 2;00 - 4:00 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 5th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, MA.
