Stephanie Weymouth Obituary

In Loving Memory of Stephanie Marie Weymouth

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Stephanie Marie Weymouth on February 3, 2024. Stephanie was born on April 6, 1992, and she left us too soon, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Stephanie graduated from Wilmington High School in 2010, and her pursuit of knowledge led her to Drew University in New Jersey, where she proudly graduated in 2014 with a degree in Theater Arts. She continued on and received her Master's Degree in Education the following year. While at Drew, she was a leading actress in several productions including Spelling Bee. Stephanie also wrote and produced her own play, Linked, which won many awards. After graduation, her first job was with the Institute of Music for Children in Elizabeth, NJ, which combined her passions of teaching and singing.  Stephanie loved being able to share her gifts with her students. Her calling to education extended to her role as a beloved teacher at People's Preparatory Charter School in Newark, NJ, where she touched the lives of many with her dedication and enthusiasm.

Stephanie is survived by her loving parents, Nancy and Glenn Weymouth, her sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Kyle Arndt of Minnesota, and nephews Dustin, Garrison, and James Arndt. She also leaves behind a large extended family and “fake” family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dear friend Winnie.

Stephanie’s light and spirit were unmatched. She was able to pack a full life into her 31 years. Known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life, Stephanie had a list of hobbies and passions that reflected her adventurous and joyful personality. She enjoyed sipping on espresso martinis, cheering on her beloved New England Patriots, and expressing herself through song. She also loved exploring new destinations with friends and family. Stephanie proudly went on a solo trip to Montreal with Winnie. She also loved relaxing at local beaches, indulging in her love for "Hocus Pocus," adorning her body with meaningful tattoos, and being “Aunt Stephy” to her three precious nephews. Stephanie was easy to love and loved others with all her heart. Her deep love and devotion to her family and friends was unwavering.

Stephanie was an amazing inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious laughter, warm heart, and genuine kindness will be forever etched in the memories of those whose lives she touched.
