True, William

William A. True, age 89, of Sanford, Maine, formerly of Wilmington, MA, died Friday, October 17, 2008.

Born on October 19, 1918, in Waltham, MA, he was the son of the late Charles & Grace (Hopkins) True. He grew up in Waltham and was educated there. Prior to retiring, William was an Electrical Engineer for the Raytheon Company in Waltham for 43 years. In his spare time, William was an avid Ham Radio Operator since 1938. He was an original member of the Waltham Ham Radio Club. William owned his own photography business specializing in photographing weddings. William was a resident of Wilmington, MA, for 22 years and moved to Holton, Maine in 1988 where he lived to 8 years prior to retiring in Sanford, Maine in 1996.

Memorial donations in William’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
