Veloza, George Obituary

George Veloza, 87, of Wilmington, died April 4, 2008, at home surrounded by his family.

Beloved husband of Anna M. (Mitchell) Veloza, devoted father of Susan A. Lesperance & her husband Tony and George R. Veloza all of Wilmington, dear son of the late Gaetano & Anna (Freitas) Veloza, loving grandfather of Michelle Cincotta, Michael L'Esperance, David Lesperance, Anthony Lesperance, Charles Veloza, Karen Veloza, Kerry Veloza, and 12 great grandchildren, brother of John Velozo of Peabody, Bobby Lage of Somerville, Bill Velozo of Springfield, and the late Emanuel, Alfred, Frank, and Joey Velozo, and Anna M. Sousa, also survived by many nieces & nephews. U. S. Army Veteran WWII, recipient of the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62) Wilmington, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial donations in George's name may be made to VNA of Middlesex East and Hospice, 607 North Ave., Wakefield, MA 01880.
