James Watt, Jr., age 95, died Thursday evening, October 30, 2008, in Canton, Ohio, after a short illness.
He was born on December 1, 1912, in Scotland and was a long time resident of Wilmington, MA and more recently a resident of the Canton Regency in Canton, Ohio. James was a machinist in the Boston Navy Yard during WWII, retiring from the U. S. Gypsum Company in Boston. He was a member of the Hill Memorial Baptist Church in Allston, MA and a member of the Bethany Lodge F&AM, Brighton, MA.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Isabelle (Gillooly) Watt and by his wife Lillian (Ritchie) Watt. James is survived by two sons, James Ritchie Watt of Dracut, MA and William & his wife Priscilla Watt of Canton, OH, two grandsons William & his wife Alice Watt of San Jose, CA and James & his wife Jennifer Watt of Canton, OH, two great-grandsons James & Joseph Watt of Canton, OH, and a sister Isabella & her husband Andrew McGowan of Florida.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 8th in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. William Watt officiating.
